| Jesus sent His disciples out to carry out His will among the people: announcing that the kingdom of God is at hand, healing
the sick, raising the dead, casting out demons, and meeting whatever needs the people have. They return excited, sharing with Jesus all that happened on their mission. Just like the disciples
we get so excited when we are obedient to God’s will and we see the results of that obedience and His faithfulness, as He works in and through us. But just like the disciples, sometimes we
soon forget God’s power in meeting our needs. God must remind us that He can meet all our needs if we trust in Him. How can we forget that? Jesus is forever teaching us that He is the provider
for all that we need and all that we want according to His will. When we understand, accept, and apply His teachings we are blessed and can be the disciples He calls us to be. |
