So many Christians are waiting
until the day when we will go to heaven. Did you know
that perspective is not biblical? In
Ephesians 2:1-10, we are enlightened by God that He has
raised us up. We are no longer dead. He delivers His
children,
believers in Christ, from our sins – the old dirt that
covered us. He cleanses us, makes us whole and we are in
His presence
forever. We do not have to die to be with God. We are
already with Him, in His presence right now and forever.
If you believe this, then why go back to your past and
pick up or wallow in the old dirt, your old sins? These
old sins and bad and ungodly
relationships become “leeches,” sucking the life out of
us. This is not what God wants for His people, His
church. Remember
that our Father promises us joy and peace as we go
through the trials and training that He allows in our
lives to mature us.
We are His masterpieces. He will not wait until some
future date in heaven to show us off. He wants to show
us off right
here on earth. He wants us to allow His character and
demeanor to shine through each of us, all for His glory
and honor. |
