The world
uses the word peace so casually. They think that peace
means no more conflict among mankind. However, as
believers in Christ we have a better understanding of
what peace means. In the first place, man cannot bring
peace in this
world. Only God through Jesus Christ can bring peace to
His children. When Jesus Christ sacrificed His life for
each of us, He
removed all obstacles and the works of the enemy to make
it possible for us to be reconciled to God. Believers
are no longer
separated and at war with God as we once were. We are
now one with God: God the Father, God the Son and God
the Holy
Spirit. We are at peace with God and we are at peace in
the body of Christ. There is no other peace. God loves
us. He gives
believers power through Christ to remove anything that
is against God and interferes with our relationship with
Him.
If you as a believer are not experiencing this peace,
is it because you are holding on to things that Christ
has already
removed from you?
