| As Jesus began His earthly ministry, He was anointed by the Holy Spirit “…to proclaim good news to the poor. He
has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, 19 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor (Luke 4:18-19).”
Jesus came to set us free from the evils of this world so that we could return to our holy relationship with our loving God. As He does His anointed work, more and more people are convicted by the
Holy Spirit to seek Jesus, His truth, and His healing. People came from all over to hear Him, desiring to touch Him, and to be healed. The people being attacked by vexing spirits were able through the Holy Spirit to admit that they needed healing and they needed the Word of God. When they came to Jesus, they were not disappointed. |
