Complacency and the lack of
knowledge are putting many believers in dangerous places
within the Body of Christ.
These believers experience something like a cancer that
causes us as the Church to be ineffective in the Body of
Christ and
in the world. This goes totally against what Jesus has
commanded us to do. We have learned the consequences
from the
Israelites’ failures. They were chosen by God to serve
Him and to witness for Him as the one true God. They
were blessed
by Him in all ways. However, they became complacent and
forgot their special relationship with God. Some thought
that they
were more important than God.
There was great condemnation and punishment from God
for their sinful behaviors and complacency. God gives
us, as
believers, many blessings for being faithful and true to
Him. Most importantly, we must learn to submit to God
and allow Him
to use us to His glory. This must be the life work of
everyone in the Body of Christ. Complacency and
ignorance are never
options for Christians. |
