In this day and time, there is much discussion about government. There are differences of opinions about the kinds
of governments that are best and how they should be serving the people. Often there are actual arguments about whether government should actually be serving the people or those
who hold the governmental power. These arguments among the citizens become very political and divisive, instead of having a government that serves the true needs of all people.
Today, our focus is brought to what God’s government is in Jesus Christ. God knows that man’s government is not what it should be unless it is built on His
word and truth. To be sure that His children have the government that we need that supplies our every need and concern, Our Father sent His Son Jesus. In Isaiah 9:6, God tells us
the government of His kingdom will be and is on the shoulders of His Son Jesus. In Luke 4:18-19, Jesus reminds us that the Father has sent Him to proclaim His kingdom and all that
He is to do for God’s people who believe in Him. In the Beatitudes we learn of His proclamation of God’s law for His people. |
