As we approach the remembrance
and celebration of death and Resurrection of our Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ, we often
focus on the pain and suffering that Jesus experienced
in order to save us. Today we are reminded of His
triumphant entry into
Jerusalem. How the people cried out “Hosanna in the
highest” to Him. Through their difficulties, their
sufferings and pains they
could still cry out in joy to the one who would save
them! Then Jesus visited the temple, where the people
should have been
prepared by the Priests for the Passover and where the
priest should have been praying for and teaching the
people. Instead,
Jesus saw His Father’s house used as a den of thieves,
cheating and stealing from the people.
Remember, now we are the temple of God in which His
Holy Spirit is to dwell. If Jesus encountered us today,
would He find
us, His temples, fulfilling the work of His Father?
