| In Matthew 5, Jesus has healed all the multitude who were seeking the word of God and the healing that only Jesus
can bring. In the government of God, which Jesus is ordained to establish in His kingdom, Jesus blesses the people of God who experience the many difficulties, trials, diseases,
of this fallen world. When Jesus says we are blessed, what does He mean? Under the conditions that He presents in the Beatitudes, God will bless His people who accept Jesus as Lord.
We experience His blessings as we overcome the trials and tribulations of this world and receive His kingdom not just in our future home in heaven, but also here on earth in the present.
His blessings are so great that all who have not received Christ as Lord, will see our blessings and envy us for what we receive from Our Father. |
