God certainly gave His law
to man for a purpose. The law teaches us what God sees
as right and wrong, what is good
and what is evil: what is sin. However, God provides the
law so that we can be free to focus on Him and our
relationship with
Him. In our relationship with Him we are free. However,
many of us, who say that we are believers in Christ are
not free, but
are burdened and enslaved by the law. Christ, who is the
fulfillment of the law, gives us total freedom in Him.
Why is this so?
While God only means life, love and freedom for us in our
relationship with Him, Satan does not want us to have
that
relationship with God. Satan uses the law to enslave us
to sin. Some of us foolishly follow Satan’s lead and we
are enslaved to
the law and to sin. Let go of the sin that comes through
the law and hold on to the freedom we have in Christ. |
