Down through the ages, the
coming of Jesus Christ is foretold and then announced
when he actually comes to live among
mankind here on earth. The Bible records many of the
miracles that Jesus performed among the people. When He
entered
Jerusalem He went to the temple and cleansed it. There
He spent the day healing and teaching the people. The
Gospel of John
12:37 tells us that with all the miracles that He did,
people did not believe on Him. Some of them were blinded
and their hearts
hardened by God because of their unbelief. They would
stay in this condition until God heals them. Even among
the leaders of
that time, there were some who actually believed, but
chose not to confess their faith in Christ. Why? They
were fearful of
losing their leadership position and being put out of
the synagogue. They were more afraid of losing the
praise of the people
than obeying and believing God. Jesus reminds them and
us that to believe on Him is to believe on the Father
who sent Him.
To see Him is to see the Father. To hear Jesus is to
hear the Father. Jesus came to us to be the light in
this dark world to lead us and to save us. Do you
believe His report? Whether you believe or not, His word
is always true.
