Just as Jesus prepared His
disciples for His death and resurrection, He is
preparing us for Himself. God wants His people
with Him and to shine forth in this world as His Son,
Jesus Christ. As believers in Jesus Christ, we know
where we are going and
God has work for us to do and people to touch along the
way. So don’t you want to be prepared for the journey
and the work?
Some of us lose sight of God’s preparation in us.
Everything that He allows us to experience is by His
permission and for our
preparation. Often we focus on the trials, hardships and
the pain, rather than the wisdom, the peace, the joy and
the comfort
that God provides as we move through these learning
experiences. Let us focus on growing closer to God
through His
preparation so that we are ready for the work that God
has assigned to us. Our model for this focus and
preparation is Jesus
Christ Himself.
