On His way to the cross,
Jesus took the time to teach His followers, then and
today, important truths through parables.
Parables are simple stories about God’s truth. Matthew
25:1-30 teaches God’s important truth about how He
endows each of
us with the resources and capacities to do His will.
However, we have the choice to fulfill will or to ignore
it. Why would anyone
who has the capacity to do God’s will not do it? There
are those who would not do God’s will because of
laziness, sin and willful
disobedience. If you are not doing God’s will,
fulfilling His directions and commandments for you, what
are your reasons? We
learn through these parables that God will not accept
our excuses. There are fatal consequences. |
