One of the few places that
we see the anger of Jesus Christ, occurs when He beat
the money-changers out of the
temple and cleansed the temple. Why did He do such a
thing? What was the problem that made Him so angry?
Jesus saw the
money-changers cheating God’s people! He saw them
creating obstacles for the people who were coming to the
temple to
bring their sacrifices and to receive forgiveness for
their sins. The priests and the money-changers created
obstacles that
were hindering the people from presenting their sins to
God and receiving His forgiveness. Today, are we
creating similar
obstacles that keep God’s people from seeking His
forgiveness of their sins and salvation? |
