We are continuing to
examine the things that Jesus did during the last week
before He was crucified. All of what He
had to say was important at the time but continues to be
important to us today. The priests and the Sadducee
thought that
they had the authority to challenge Jesus and His
authority. These men who were disobedient to God, wanted
to challenge
God’s authority. They wanted to destroy Christ because
of Who He said He was. Unfortunately, even today there
are those
who want to challenge God. How foolish we must seem to
Him. How can anyone challenge the Almighty God Who
created us
and everything on which we must depend? How can we
refuse to recognize His authority in our lives?
Challenging God’s
authority will cause many to lose the kingdom of heaven. |
