Today we celebrate the most important day in the
history of humankind since Creation. God created us in
His image to live
with Him forever. However, humans through sin messed
things up and were condemned to die as punishment for
sin. Our Father,
would not allow us to “mess up” His perfect plan and put
into action His strategy to save us from sin. He would
allow His beloved
and perfect Son, Jesus, to die for these sinful
creatures whom He loved and to conquer sin forever.
For the past few weeks, we have tracked how sinless
Jesus was fully prepared and equipped to pay the
ultimate price for
our sins. We also observed how He prepared and equipped
His disciples for His crucifixion and resurrection.
Today we celebrate
His resurrection and complete victory over sin, death
and Satan. We now know that He has all power in heaven
and earth. He
calls on each of us to go forth and spread His glorious
message of salvation that only He makes possible to
those who believe
and follow Him. To reject Him is to choose death and
hell. Truly His saving work is complete! All that we
have to do is accept it
and claim it for our own. When we do that then we can be
complete as He is complete!
