Yes, this is Palm Sunday, but we are going to
observe something else that is so important this week
before Christ's
crucifixion and resurrection. In John 12:20-36, Jesus
reminds us Who He is and why He was sent to earth by His
Father.
We find the Greeks, the gentiles, seeking to know Jesus
and to communicate with Him. Someone has taught them of
the Jewish
law and they are now followers of the law. However, they
have heard about Jesus. They came seeking Jesus because
they
wanted the rest of the story. Importantly, all of what
we observe in this encounter with Jesus was foretold by
the prophets
in the Old Testament.
Are we seeking the rest of the story? Do we want to
know all about Jesus? Do we want to communicate
intimately with
Jesus? Do we know that Old Testament prophecy speaks of
Jesus and how He is sent to us by the Father for our
deliverance
and redemption? After finding Jesus, will we totally
submit our lives to Him?
