| Many Jews during the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ and even today, missed a very important fact. Abraham was far more
than a genetic “father” to them. Abraham was and is the Father of Faith for all believers and followers in God and His Son Jesus Christ. As Abraham was told to go forth in
obedience to God, many people would believe and become children in the family of God. Our directions from Jesus are the same. We are called to go forth as faithful children and witnesses
of God, sharing God’s word and being led by the Holy Spirit. We are to testify of the goodness and promises that only come from God the Father and His Son; that many will be counted
as the many faithful offspring of Abraham, the Father of Faith. |
