Most believers and followers of Jesus Christ expect
to grow in their relationship with God. However, many of
us have no idea
about what it will take for this to happen. How do we
know that we are growing in understanding our
relationship with God?
When we begin to realize that nothing in our lives
happens by chance or luck, we are growing. We know that
everything
happens to us by God’s design, for His purpose and by
His permission. As we draw nearer to God, He removes all
things from us
that will interfere with our relationship with Him. He
wants us to be holy and righteous as He is. He wants us
to be like Christ.
In order for us to reach these holy goals, God must
remove things from us. Sometimes this happens with great
trials and pain.
However, in all of these things we are comforted, we are
victorious and we are blessed by His love and
protection. So when
we accept all things that happen in our lives as the
work of God perfecting us and preparing us for Himself,
we can rejoice!
We are indeed understanding and accepting our growth in
God.
