All praises to God the Father, to God the Son, Jesus Christ, and to the Holy Spirit Who were all present at the
creation of all human beings! (Genesis 1:27-28) God created us in their likeness and their image. God created us to have dominion overall the earth and over all creatures of
the earth! How amazing is this! He knew that in order for us to do the things that He pronounced, we would have to have His mind, His knowledge and understanding in us. That
means that we have everything that He has in us, especially His law. How else could we be like Him and in His image. So, when Jesus says in Matthew 5:17-18 that He comes not to
destroy the law, but to fulfill it, what is He saying to us, His people. Could it be that He has made the way for us to be like the children of God as the Father designed us to be -
His law, His likeness, and His image? Jesus is fulfilling God’s plan!
Jesus has healed us and saved us from sin through His blood and sacrifice; He has given to us
the many blessings of God as stated in the Beatitudes, now He is teaching us to live and work for God as His light and His salt. Jesus is fulfilling God’s law and purpose in us,
His children? Can there be anything more glorious for us? |
