Many Christians are ashamed of
their past. They seek to hide it from everyone. They
want people to think that they are
perfect and have always been perfect. The problem with
this way of thinking and behaving is that it is a lie!
People who think
they can hide their past or want to hide their past are
frauds! We know what God thinks about lying, don’t we?
God does not
ask us to hide our past. In fact, God wants us to share
our past because our pasts are actually testimonies on
what God can
do. That is right; your past is your testimony on what
God has done and is doing in your life. As Christians
our job is to share
our testimony with all who God places in our path, in
our lives. Your testimony will be a light for others to
see God’s work in you
and for them to know that God can do the same miraculous
work in their lives. In other words, God uses your past
for His great
plan. Your past will lead people to accept Christ and
fulfill God’s perfect plan in their lives. |
