| We have been talking about the essential importance of seeking God always, seeking His Spirit in all of our existence and experiences.
James 1 helps us to understand just how important this is to every believer. Through the guidance and teaching of the Holy Spirit, we who are believers in Jesus Christ, will recognize the many
blessings that He bestows on each of us. One of the most important blessings that the Holy Spirit gives to us is to recognize God’s good gifts to us and He enables us to recognize evil.
God does not give anything that is evil to us, because He is not evil. God does give us the Holy Spirit to recognize evil and with Him to avoid it or conquer it. The book of James in chapter 1
warns us not to be deceived about what is evil and what is good. Every good and perfect gift is from our Father.
