Being barren; Hannah
felt cursed and afflicted. It was out of this agony that she cried out
to God.
Petitioning the LORD
for a male child; she
vowed that if God gave her a child she
would give him back to
serve the LORD. Soon after her prayer, she
gave birth to a son she named Samuel.
How many of us can pray and make a request of the LORD, only to
give it back to Him.
We all have had times in our lives that we felt in deep
despair, but as Hannah, if we go to the Father He will
give us peace.
Do we get on our knees and pray, or just give up? Do we
depend on God to truly be the Father we know He is, or
avoid Him?
Hannah being a godly mother, made a vow and fulfilled it, do you fulfill your
promises to God?
