Last week we studied what God requires of us in our relationships with our brothers and sisters in Christ. We
realized that in order to be one with God, we must be guided by the Holy Spirit in resolving any conflicts that our brothers and sisters in Christ. This is a requirement that
can only be resolved by listening to and obeying the Holy Spirit.
This week we learn that there are others besides our Christian family that may have issues with us. These may be legal
issues or those who would bring charges against us. Jesus tells us to go to those persons and work out a favorable agreement. He wants us to be merciful in reaching such an agreement, because to
not come to such an agreement will not end well for us. In fact, we must let go of all things that keep us in bondage. Often these are issues of the flesh, but to be free of them and their
ugly consequences, requires us to be one with God in the Holy Spirit |
