It is easier to ask a
Christian what God cannot do than to ask what He can do.
To answer what God can do, will result in
a lengthy and unending response about His power, His
grace and His love. But the question about that God
cannot do has only
one response: God cannot lie. Everything that He says
and promises is truth. So when God tells us something
and He promises
us something He tells the truth; we can count on Him to
do what is best for us to His glory. King David knew
this. Throughout
His life David depended on God Who was always faithful
and true to him. Even in his conflict with Absalom, in
all of his pain, he
leaves everything to go and seek God and to do God’s
will. David knows God and He seeks to please Him,
humbling himself before
the Almighty God. He remembers all that God has done for
him. David trusts the God Who never lies. Can you be
like David and
trust God in every situation? Know that God never lies
and is faithful and truthful in all of His promises to
His people. Focus not
on the pain and trials, but focus on your track record
with God and delight yourself in the promises of God.
