When Paul, Silas and Timothy
went to the Thessalonians to minister to them, they also
displayed the character that must
be expected of all Christians today. They reflected
Jesus Christ to those within the Body of Christ and
those who are outside
of the Body of Christ. For those within the Body of
Christ we must be the comforter and the encourager for
them when times
are difficult so that we help each other grow in Christ.
We must walk and conduct ourselves before them with the
character of
Christ. For those in the world, we must also be
comforters and encouragers reflecting the love of Christ
and His character. We
are models of Jesus Christ always so that those in the
world will want what we have in the family of God and
seek to join the
Father and the Body of Christ. When we accepted Jesus
Christ, He made us brand new with a new nature and
character to be
the leaders that He wants us to be. With the new nature
and character, we can lead others to Christ. We can
stand for Him in
this dark and evil world, being His light and His salt
in every situation. Wake up Christians! Stand Up!
