In Ephesians 4, Paul reminds us of the many benefits
and blessings we gain through Jesus Christ. Most
importantly, we gain
entrance into the family of God This family is not
united through “unity of the Spirit,” “One Lord, one
faith, and one baptism,
One God and Father of all…”
How did we receive such a powerful and beautiful gift?
Our entrance into God’s family is guaranteed because
Jesus, the
Son of God, ascended upon the cross to be a sacrifice
for all our sins. On that cross Jesus released us from
the captivity of sin
and gave to each of us the gifts of everlasting life in
His presence, and freedom in Him. Those who have a right
relationship
with God, have the right to be free. We are free to be
one in the Body of Christ.
Nothing should hinder the unity of Christ’s Body, the
Church. We have His protection, righteous direction, and
victory
against our enemies. For the child of God, our enemies
are His enemies. He takes care of His children.
