When Israel failed to trust
and believe in God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ,
they also stopped trusting in God and
carrying forth His calling. They began trusting and
functioning in their own imperfect knowledge. The result
of their lack of
trust and obedience in God resulted in many of them
being removed from God’s calling. God then selected the
Gentiles to come
into that calling. Our responsibility is to shine forth
to those who are lost the many blessings that we receive
from God as part
of His calling. Our obedience and trust in God will
enable us to do this. Those who are lost will see how
God blesses us and will
want what God has blessed us with and return to Him. As
the lost return to Him, they will be grafted into His
good olive tree.
If we fail to obey and trust God, shining forth His
blessings to all, we can be removed just as the lost
Israelites are. God has
the power to graft us into His good olive tree or remove
us. |
