| As Jesus teaches the people that He has just healed to follow God’s mandates for our lives. Jesus especially calls us
to love as God has loved us. That means that we must realize that we must do more than love those who we like and who like us. As Jesus loved even His enemies, we are called to do the same.
He is showing us how we must examine every situation and every relationship through God’s eyes. Jesus is asking us to be His representatives in every situation and to deal with people
as He would deal with them. We do know that this means showing a loving attitude and behaviors to those who may mean us harm. As we are guided by the Holy Spirit, we will respond to these
individuals with God’s love in such a way as to introduce them to Christ. |
