A father is that special man who not only loves his
children unconditionally, but also knows what his
children need and
provides it. He seeks God’s guidance in being the father
needed by his children. God chose Nehemiah to act as an
earthly father
to His children in Jerusalem. When Nehemiah hears that
his people are suffering great “affliction and
reproach,” as any good
and godly father would do, Nehemiah weeps for his
children and prays to his Heavenly Father and presents
their plight before
Him. God honors Nehemiah with the plan to relieve His
children’s suffering and renew their right relationship
with God.
Nehemiah did all that God directed him to do for God’s
children. Nehemiah is a mighty example to all fathers
who are completely
faithful to God, to His plan, and to His children.
