Proverbs 1:2-7 (Part3) |
As we walk in the Lord,
He will open doors for us and shut doors for us. When
God opens the door He expects us to
go through that door, because there is something that He
wants us to do and something that He wants us to learn.
Knowing
this, how can we not praise Him with all that is in us?
How can we not seek Him in all that we must do and all
that we must
know? Fathers have a major responsibility to grow in
their experiences in the Lord so that they can lead and
teach their
children. Such an example of this is the relationship of
David and Solomon. King David, in making his son Solomon
the new king,
shares all that he experienced in his life in the Lord
(the good and the bad). Solomon then seeks the Lord as
his father did to
lead the nation of Israel. The role of a father in the
Lord has not changed. He must be a man of God in order
to lead his children
in godliness.
