The Thessalonians were well
known for their strong testimonies of their lives
through Christ. They learned how to be
Christians from following other strong Christians
through their difficulties. Jesus Christ promises all of
His disciples that one day
we will live with Him in heaven where there will be no
more troubles and suffering. However, on this earth He
also promises that
we will have trouble, but we can take heart because He
has overcome the troubles of this world. Anyone who
promises you
that you will not have problems, trials and tribulations
as a Christian is lying to you. The important thing for
all Christians to
know is that Christ has overcome the world, its sin and
its troubles. We, through Him, can be victorious in
every situation.
Whatever situation, trial or tribulation that you
go through, God will bring you through it victoriously.
Oftentimes, you will
not be able to predict how He does it. The Holy Spirit
is teaching us and guiding us at all times how to
behave. You will always
want to share with others your testimony of how God
works in your life. Your testimonials will encourage
other believers. This
is how God’s light shines through us and His salt is
applied by us to give hope to a dying and sinful world.
