| Those who live according to the world’s standards and dictates often get caught up in promoting themselves. They
want all who see them to be impressed with their deeds. Deeds that may be for good or deeds that are meant for evil. What is most important for them is for others to praise them and
honor them. Christians are called to serve our God without the praise and recognition of others as the goal. Our goal must be to fully commit ourselves to God! All that we do is to
serve Him and honor Him only. We are expected to do what He calls us to do for whomever we do it, in secret without drawing attention to ourselves. What does God do when we are obedient
in this command? God, who sees what we are doing in secret, will reward us openly according to His goodness and His timing. |
