All of us who are saints in Jesus Christ are called
to build the church, the Body of Christ. We are building
the Body of Christ
to fulfill God’s plan and His work. How do we do this?
Jesus Christ has taught us to do this work through our
witness and
behavior for Him in this world. We know that the world
is corrupt because of sin. It is important that the
world does not dictate
our behavior; we must dictate to the world what is
correct, holy, and righteous behavior. Our witness and
conduct requires us
to be courageous, controlled by the Holy Spirit and
bold. We can no longer live our lives in sin, but we
must live in Christ. That
is why we are not sinners saved by grace, but we are
saints who may make mistakes. We do not focus on sin nor
do we
practice sin. Will those who live in the world
understand our witness and what we are teaching?
Probably not at first, because
many are vain or empty of Christian beliefs and their
understanding is “darkened.” However, we must continue
to demonstrate
the love and the conduct that we learn in Christ so that
those who are unbelievers will come to believe in Jesus
Christ and their
conduct will be changed to glorify Christ.
