You will not find the Lord nor learn of Him and His
ways while living an evil and sinful life. When we turn
to Christ, He teaches
us how to come out of the sinful lifestyle. We do have
the ability to discern what is right and what is wrong.
How to come out
of that which is wrong and evil requires the love,
teaching, testing and guidance of the Lord. If we could
make these changes
by ourselves, through our own efforts, why haven't we
done it? Why can we not choose to live a righteous and
holy life on our
own? Because we do not have the knowledge and tools to
do this apart from the Lord. It is only when we turn
from our corrupt
lives and renounce our sinful lives and accept Christ
that we become new creatures in Christ. As new creatures
in Christ with
His knowledge and His wisdom, we no longer serve sin! We
become united with Christ and nothing can ever separate
us from
Him, His goodness, His righteousness and eternity with
Him. This is the refreshing!
