Last week we examined Jesus telling His disciples that they were going across the sea. The disciples became afraid during this
voyage when the storm arose. Jesus stopped the storm and corrected the disciples for their cowardly behavior. This week we see why Jesus was going to the other side of the sea. Jesus had
work to do. Remember Jesus came to earth to attend to and complete the work that God His Father had sent Him to do. The great challenge that He meets on that seashore clearly illustrates
the mission that the Father sent Him to accomplish, as stated in John 3:16. Jesus allows nothing to keep Him from God’s purpose, saving us. |
