After the Apostle Paul spent
at least three weeks introducing the Thessalonians to
Jesus Christ, they whole-heartedly
accepted Christ as Lord and Savior. Paul continued to be
concerned and prayerful for His new brothers and sisters
in Christ long
after leaving their communities. The Thessalonians were
faithful and consistent in their walk with Christ. Their
testimonies were
known everywhere that Paul went. However, Paul knew the
challenges and evil attacks that Christians are known to
experience.
His love and concern for these Christians moved him to
send Timothy to minister to them so that they would be
encouraged
and established in their faith and Christian walk. As
followers of Christ, we have a responsibility to
minister to each other to
strengthen and encourage each other in our faith and
Christian walk. Jesus assured us that we will go through
many trials and
tribulations in this world, but Jesus overcame the world
and so will we as we help each other and yield to God’s
will and ways.
