Luke 4:18-19
(Part3) |
When we come to Christ we are new creatures.
God expects us to let go of our past sins that He has
forgiven and press on
to be all that we can be in Christ. But do we? Some of
us make the mistake of holding on to the sins and
behaviors of the past.
We become like hoarders of the past corruptions. We drag
this putrid corrupt past around with us, until its
stench becomes part
of us. Why do we do such foolishness? Somehow those who
find themselves in this pitiful situation feel more
comfortable in this
sinful corrupt state rather than moving forward in the
promises and blessings of Jesus Christ. How does this
happen? These
misguided believers fail to apply God’s principles in
their new daily lives.
