Luke 10:1-3 (Part1) |
Joshua 1:8 (Part2) |
Romans 8:28 (Part2) |
Luke 10:3 (Part3) |
As Jesus sent out the seventy disciples in Luke
10:1-3, we also have been called to go out for the
harvest. Although we
might go amongst the wolves, God will prepare us for the
journey. As God strengthened Samson, he will also
strengthen us.
The strength will not be in the length of our hair, but
the depth of our relationship with him. Jesus gave us
the precepts, and
in studying his word we come to understand these
precepts.
Reading and meditating on the word gives us guidance,
and the Holy Spirit is our guide and counselor. We must
hold fast
in the knowledge that God is our strength, and this
becomes clear as our relationship grows. He may put us
in situations we
may not feel comfortable in; and although we may be
lambs amongst the wolves God will give us the courage of
a lion.
