Romans 12:9-10
(Part3) |
We are called to take care of
each other in the Body of Christ. This is a major
directive of our Lord. So why do we as
believers neglect this serious commitment to taking care
of each other? What reasons do some of us hide behind to
avoid this
God-given responsibility? Some believers think that they
are just too busy to be involved with others’ lives.
Some believers
lack knowledge of God’s word and requirements for us to
be a family as the Body of Christ. Other believers will
not do anything
for others unless we can get credit for it, as some in
the world do. Sadly, there are those who mistakenly
think that this is the
work of the pastor only. Wrong! All of this is wrong!
Being a family that loves and takes care of each other
in Christ takes love, support, and committed time for
each other.
Most importantly, being a family in the Body of Christ
means that we submit to and yield to the directions of
the Holy Spirit.
We seek the Spirit’s direction for who to reach out to,
what to say, and what to do in supporting the members of
the Body
of Christ. |
