Our salvation in God is based on our acceptance of Jesus Christ Our Savior. Jesus was sent by the Father to save us
from sin and to reunite us with Our Holy Father. Without our blessed relationship with Jesus Christ, there can be no salvation and forgiveness of our sins; there can be no restoration
of our personal relationship with Our Holy Father. We would be eternally lost.
In Matthew 6, Jesus gives us a model for how to pray to
the Heavenly Father. Our communications with Our Father are the most important communications that we can possibly have with the most important Person in all of the world. Many Christians
mistakenly believe that this is the “Lord’s Prayer.” It is not; it is a model of how we should communicate with Our Father in prayer. Jesus’ prayer, the Lord’s
prayer actually is in John17. In His instructions to us He strongly reminds us of the importance of forgiveness of others and ourselves in our relationship to God. We are required to forgive
others and ourselves or there will be no forgiveness for us from the Father. |
