Jesus is at the well in Samaria. The divine appointment has occurred with the woman at the well, but it is not over.
The woman having encountered the Messiah, runs and tells all the people in her city of this holy encounter with Jesus, the Messiah. She tells them to come and see that He is the
long-awaited Messiah. The people do indeed go to see the Messiah. Jesus has another important experience to prepare His disciples for His work. The disciples do not understand
what is happening at this important place in Samaria, so the Lord must now prepare them to carry out His work. Jesus prepared the woman at the well to be a sower, preparing her people
for a harvest. Now Jesus prepares His disciples to see the harvest that is ready for “reaping” for His holy purpose – the saving of souls in the Lord for eternal life.
He teaches them how important their work is, whether they will be sowers or reapers. If they fulfill the specific work that Jesus calls them to, whether sowing or reaping, their faithfulness
in fulfilling their work results in the same reward - eternal life in Christ Jesus.
What is Jesus calling you to do, sowing or reaping? The harvest is ready. Do not fail His powerful calling to you to reap or to sow. Missing His calling
for you has eternal consequences for your soul!
