As Jesus prepares to give His life on the cross for our salvation, He reminds us of the crucial choice that we must make for our
true salvation. He prays that we, His disciples, will be one in God the Father, in Jesus and the Holy Spirit as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are One. How do we achieve this blessed
status? It happens when we give up everything in this world that attracts us and leads us away from God. We then take hold to God and all that He provides for us and do all that He requires of us.
It is only when we fully embrace all that God provides for us that we gain the life and soul that only He gives.
If you choose to pursue anything
else outside of what God offers, you will lose your life eternally. What could you possibly choose in this world that would separate you from God, lose your soul and the eternal life that only He can
give to you? Let go of the worldly desires and pursuits that will separate you forever from our loving and generous God. |
