Paul encouraged the
Thessalonians to become one in Christ, while other
forces tried to keep them separate from each
other and from God. In living the faith that God gives
to each of us, we can exhibit brotherly love toward each
one in the Body
of Christ. Paul emphasized brotherly love as the way to
care for each other in Christ. Believers in the Body of
Christ should
never have to worry about a fellow believer taking
advantage of them for sinister purposes. Brotherly love
exhibited by one
believer to others in the Body of Christ helps us to
focus on the assignments that God has given to us and
who we must be in
Jesus Christ. Through brotherly love in the Body of
Christ we are able to reach others for Christ. Through
brotherly love God
teaches us right behaviors and love for one another.
Through exhibiting brotherly love we will excel in
living our faith.
