| When we see someone who is disabled in some way, what do we think about that person’s situation? Do we think that the
situation is that person’s fault? Is the situation the result of that person’s sin or the sin of their parent or parents? Do we think that disabilities or untimely deaths are
all the results of our own actions? Jesus reminds us that this may be very wrong thinking. We cannot leave God out of all these situations. We cannot make “worldly” assumptions,
we must know what God is doing in every situation. God allows some situations and conditions to exist so that His power is displayed to all who see. We must always observe and ask what God
is teaching us and what He wants us to do for His glory. |
