The Disciples Peter, John and James are told by Jesus not to tell anyone about what they experienced on the Mountain of
Transfiguration until after He is raised from the dead. Like any of us, the disciples are confused by Jesus’s directions to them. He takes the time to talk with them to give clarity
to His words for what they are to do. Like many of us, these disciples are confused by what Jesus says. Jesus takes the time to teach them, clarifying His directions to them. They the
understood.
Many of us are confused by the teaching and preaching of others who may give us conflicting messages and directions. We may
even be confused by what Jesus tells us to do. When we are confused about what Jesus wants us to do, then we must go to Jesus directly for clarification, so that we are truly obedient to Him
in all that He wants us to do. He is truly the truth and the light for all that He calls us to do. Why walk around in confusion when all that we must do is go directly to Him for clarification
on what He wants done to His glory and honor? Go to the Source in prayer and in the study of God’s holy word. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are always teaching us. |
