Many of us are dismayed by what
we see occurring in government. There are honorable
leaders and there are dishonorable
leaders. We are required to participate in the process
that chooses our leaders. God expects “…every soul be
subject unto
higher powers.” He reminds us that there is no power,
except His power. He ordains all leaders and uses them
for His purpose
and for His people. So what must we do about corrupt or
ineffective leaders? We must always stand for
righteousness and
God’s standards. Every honorable leader must stand on
and execute God’s standards. God expects us to stand
against evil
and He will equip us to be victorious against evil.
Every Christian is required to participate in the
governmental system that
God has ordained and to obey the righteous laws. God has
all power over all systems and all ordinances. Seek Him
in all
circumstances of government and then obey Him. |
