Christians sometimes lose their
focus when going through trials and tribulations. We
sometimes get so swallowed up by
circumstances that we do not focus on the assignment
that God has given to each of us. Unfortunately, this
happens too often
in our Christian walk. One thing that Christians often
unnecessarily focus on is when Christ will return to
take us home to heaven
to be with Him. The Apostle Paul says that there are
some Christians who are so worried about when Christ
will show up that
they are not fulfilling the assignment to carry God’s
word and promises to those who are lost and need to know
Jesus Christ.
The assignment requires us to carry the salvation
message by word and deed. We must not get distracted,
because those
in the family of God know exactly where we are going;
there is no need to focus on that, nor should we focus
on when we will
be called by the Lord. Even Jesus does not know the day
and the time. Only the Father knows the time. However,
we do know
our assignment. Let us be attentive and faithful to our
assignment in following Christ. Let us be sure that we
are ready for
Christ’s return, whenever it occurs, and He will find us
busy fulfilling our assignment.
