As we look at all
that is happening in the world around us, it is easily
for believers to see that the Apostle Peter was
warning those of his time, and those of today and the future. He was
warning us as Jesus warned us of the evil that is
always attacking the people of the Lord. These attacks
are designed to separate believers from God; to destroy
our
relationship with God, and to destroy our support for
other believers. We are called to be vigilant and
prepared to always
guard our relationships with God. Without God we have
nothing. The enemy knows this, studying us, the enemy
always plots
and acts against us. Each of us must guard our
relationship with God and with other Christians in the
Body of Christ by living
by the standards of God, trusting always in our Father,
our Lord and His Spirit living in us. |
