We are living in times when people who do not know God are trying to rewrite our history – the history of all of
God’s creation and mankind. God is a God of history – the past, the present and the future. If we are paying attention to and following His word and His many works in
this world, followers of Christ have amazing and believable witnesses of His truth. Reading and hearing the word of God means that we can know and understand what He has done for His
people down through the ages to lead us to a saving knowledge of His Son and our Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus shares the word of God and God’s historical saving work in His people who grew in faith, using His faithful prophets. These
accounts were shared with the people in the synagogue in Galilee who knew God’s word. How did these people respond who were in the presence of the Anointed One sent by God to save
them?
