God our Father loves and
disciplines us, because He does not want any of us to
perish. He wants all of us to be with Him
forever. However, there are some of us who will rebel
and choose not to be with our Father. Some will make
choices that will
be against God’s will and purpose. Just like human
parents discipline their children for their good, our
heavenly Father will
discipline each us to help us to achieve the purpose
that He has for us. He does this because He loves us and
not to do evil
against us. Like a loving parent, He knows exactly what
each of us needs so that we will choose to be children
of promise and
faith and not children of the flesh.
